Aqure Quality Management Consultants

ISO 9001:2015 marks a major revision compared to ISO 9001:2008. Although it is still referred to as the Quality Management System, it should be thought of as a Business Management System. The focus is on how to run a business (no matter how big or small) in a sustainable manner with emphasis on risk management and continual improvement. Senior Management is expected to lead by example and ensure that the Business Management System implements the strategic objectives of the organisation. Documentation is seen as a means to an end and not the be all and end all.

Identification of key business processes and their interactions together with associated key performance indicators remains the heart of the operational requirements of managing the activities of an organisation. ISO 9001:2015 goes further by requiring that the business environment in which the organisation operates is defined and the expectations of interested parties are addressed.

Our approach to helping our clients is to conduct a gap analysis against the requirements of the standard, construct the framework of the Business Management System (BMS), work together to create necessary documentation to ensure the BMS is efficient and effective, conduct internal audits and management reviews and provide guidance towards achieving 3rd party certification.

The focus of ISO 9001:2015 still remains the Customer. It has evolved from the premise that a documented quality management system will guarantee success to emphasising that ongoing business success in meeting customer expectations depends on running the business efficiently and effectively. It also makes the point that businesses need to continually improve to stay ahead of the competition.

Aqure is ready to partner with organisations to help them on this journey.
